XTOTICE IS HEREBY GIVEN that tho Dannevirke Electric Power Board proposes at its meeting to be held at Dannevirke on the 28th day of August, 1945, to consider a motion to apply to the Local Government Loans Board for its sanction to the borrowing . without a Poll under Section 15 of tho Finance Act (No. 2) 1936, the sum of £25,000, for tho purpose of providing, constructing and erecting extensions and additions to all the electrical distribution and reticulation of the Dannevirke Electric-power District. It is proposed to strike a rate of one eighth of a penny in tho pound (l/Bd.; on the rateable value (on the basis of the unimproved value) of all rateable property of the Dannevirke Electricpower District, as defined in the Proclamation proclaiming the said district appearing in the New Zealand Gazette of the Eleventh day of August, 1921. It is anticipated that the above rato will not be collected, as revenues of the Power Board will be sufficient to meet the loan charges. Any person having any objection to the proposed application is called upon to submit the same in writing to the Dannevirke Electric Power Board not later than the day preceding the said meeting.
