Final Text of World Charter Completed

Colourful Ceremony In San Francisco (By Telegraph—Press Assn.—CoDyrlght.l Received Tuesday, 9.55 p.m. SAN FRANCISCCO, June 26. The delegates of 50 United Nations received the final text of the Charter at the Opera House to-night, says the New York Times’ correspondent here, In a ceremony replete with pomp and colour the delegates formally adopted the Charter, creating a new global or ganisation for keeping the peace. The British Ambassador (Lord Hali fax) presided in this last business ses sion. Because of delays in getting the Charter printed in time the delegates will commence affixing the signatures at 6 a.m. on Tuesday. The signing will occupy eight hours.
