Palmerston North Y.M.C.A.

The annual meeting of tho Y.M.C.A Indoor Basketball League was held at the Y.M.C.A. rooms, Grey Street, last evening. Mr. C. Woods, general secretary of the Y.M.C.A., presided over a large gathering of players representing both ladies’ and men’s teams. Several new teams made application for entry into tho competitions and the indications are that a record season will be entered upon. The chairman detailed a scheme whereby teams may have ample time for practice games in the gymnasium at the Y.M.C.A. It was decided that all entries for the competition, must be in by March 28. Games for the purpose of grading teams would commence Monday, April 9, and the competition games early in May. The committee hopes to arrange early in the season representative games against Wanganui, Masterton, Hutt Valley and Wellington.
