Electricity Charges

(To the Editor.) Sir, —It would be interesting to find out how the city electrical engineer worked out his figures. I jive in a 6-rdomed house and I looked up my accounts for the past 12 months and they ranged from seven to 21 units monthly, the total for the year being 180 or an average of 15 per mouth. I consider the load will break down in the winter as we do not light up sooner than necessary at present, but if one has to pay out for five units extra monthly the incentive will be to waste. Furthermore, those who in the wi*ter use other means of cooking and heating their rooms will not bother to use their gas supply and the gasworks will suffer. 1 am, etc., “ INTEREBTED. ”
