Patriotic Shop
The United Guild had the shop last week (conveners were Mesdames H. R. Whitehead and J. C. Johnston). Receipts were £-75. Cash donations were: Mrs. N. Sinclair, £1; Mrs. M. A. Elliot, 10s. Prizes for competitions were donated as follow: Hand-made rug:, Mrs. D. Glendinning:; doll and pram set, Mrs. W. A. Jennings and Mrs. Da we; baby set, Mrs. H. M. Garner and Mrs. J. Grant; smocked frock, Mrs. N. McAffer; pair skin gloves and pair woollen gloves, Mrs. F. Barker; cup and saucer, Mrs. L. E. Bale; box groceries, Guild members. The Co-operative Ladies’ Guild has the first three days of this week, the Boys’ High School Parents’ Association taking the latter part. Mrs. M. E. McCulloch is is visitor for tho Shop Committee.
