Cox Plate resulted:—Tranquil Star, 5.13 (Breasley) 3, Lawrence, 9.0 (Williamson) 2, Tea Cake, 9.4 (Hartney) 3 Nine started. Two and a-half lengths; two lengths. Time, 2.6?. Moonee Valley Cup: Queen Midas, 6.13 (Hoppo) 1, Temple Chief, 7.1-0 (Morris) 2, Two Vais, 7.10 (Badger) 3. Thirteen started. Two and a-half lengths; head. Time, 2.462.
