Keep on Knitting
The war has progressed with suob rapidity that many New Zealand women knitters are now thinking that, as no more of our boys will be going to Canada, it would be unnecessary to continue knitting woollen goods. These women, who havo been so consistent with their knitting in the past, should realise that our boys will soon be facing another winter “over there." Even when the war in Europe is over, numbers of men will probably have to remain In Europe for some time. Also New Zealand men who are prisoners of war will be repatriated to Great Britain, and Air Force Relations Want to have plenty of woollen goods ready for these men of ours who have undergone the horrors of a German prison camp. The least we can do Is to keep our boys warm, considering the hardships they have endured for the safety of the land “of the long white cloud."
