lUbepy 111 Lord Bledisloe h«d considered New Zealanders the moat gentlemanly of people, said Mr. J- W. Shaw at a meet, iug of the Auckland Fotary flub. He hoped this still applied, but he was a little doubtful whether our standard of courtesy was being sustained. ‘‘ L don’t know if Lord Bledisloo had to struggle on to the trams,” commented the speaker. He added that many people thought that the American standard of eourtesy was superior to oura.
