Unusual Hail Shower
The unusual picture of one half of the Square being subjected to a heavy hail shower while the other half was bathed in sunlight, was witnessed in Palmerston North yesterday afternoon. The hailstones were of unusual size and hammered a continuous tattoo on the roofs of the business houses, which was audible quite a long distance away.
