Rugby Fixtures for Saturday
AND FOR KING’S BIRTHDAY Mr. A. M. Ongley (president) was in the chair at last evening’s meeting of the management committee of the Manawatu Rugby Union. In the correspondence was a letter from Te Aute College intimating they would bo glad to play Palmerston North Boys’ High School ’on Saturday, June 24. The secretary (Mr. G. A. Brown) is to write Te Aute to ascertain what arrangements were to be made for travel. Fixtures for Saturday Fixtures, grounds and referees for Saturday were approved as under: —. Senior grade: Foxton v. Ohakea Air Force, Sportsground', 3 p.m. (Mr. C. Eglinton) ; Old Boys-Kia Toa v. Army, Sportsground, 1.30 p.m. (Mr. B. Trow): Levin Air Force v. ’Varsity, No. 2 Rugby Park, 3 p.m. (Mr. W. Williams); Feilding Old Boys v. United, Racecourse, Feilding, 3 p.m. (Mr. C. Pinfold).

The star game at the Sportsground on Monday (King’s Birthday) will be that between teams drawn from the Services and the civilians. The Services’ team will be as under: Full back, B. Malone (Ohakea); three quarters, J. Butt (O), H. Campbeb (Levin), Fountain (O); five-eighths, W. Freeman (O) and Delmore (O); halfback, Wylie (L); forwards, N. Lee (L) Souter (Army), D. O’Brien (L), David son (O), C. Gardiner (L), A. Beadle (L), Bromley (O), E. Todd (O); Emergencies: Backs, B. Potter (A), Archer (O), Lindsay (O); forwards, Gunn (A), Christie (A).
