Recently the general public of New Zealand, through the agency of the Lepers’ Trust Board, scut gifts to the value of £SOO to the 435 lepers of uIJ creeds and colours in New Caledonia. With cries of ‘Loug live New Zealand,’ the poor patients with laden arms desired to thank those who had in tho goodness of their hearts wished' to cheer them, to bring them a littlo! comfort in the hard calvary they were' bearing with resignation.
