A.N.A. Club Activities
Nearly 1000 men of the Services were entertained at the A.N.A. Club's dances during the woek-end. Those on duty as hostesses were Mesdames A. G. Lawson, T. 11. Pullar, Misses R. Gillies and H. Collinson, assisted by Mrs, V. Monrad. The games were in tho capable hands of Miss J. Barrie, and soft drinks were sorved on Saturday by Miss W. Whyte, and on Sunday by Misses E., It. and jit, Warren. Miss E. Lister and Driver Quickfall won the Monte Carlo dance on Saturday, and MiBB O. Keenan and Private Gunner on Sunday. Donations had been received from Miss Laing and Messrs Collinson and Cunninghamo, Ltd. The Sunshine Club was on duty at the canteen, the conveners being Mesdames Waller (president) and McCulloch (secretary). Teas served numbered 240 wud suppers 17. Mesdames N. D. Stubbs and 11. Scott had tastefully arranged the clubroom with hydrangeas and dahlias, and the tables with phlox, asters and asparagus fern. The Girls’ Music Club entertained with popular numbers, and the hostesses wore Mesdames L. S. Speechley, G. Love and Penman. Duty in the lounge was taken by Mesdames G. A. Forrest, P. L. Sim and Misses C. Hunter and M. Moran. /
