(From Our Own Correspondent.) An enjoyable match was played over the week-end between the Cheltenham Tennis Club and the Beaconsfxeld club, Cheltenham winning by 14 games to 10. Details of the matches were as follows, Cheltenham players mentioned first:— doubles: E. and D. Sinclair lost to G. Elliott and R. Hitchraan, R. Petersen and J. Humphrey beat K. McNae and K. Jensen, S. Richardson and J. Humphrey lost to J. Camplin and B. Richardson. Ladies’ doubles; Misses M. Sinclair and J. Anderson beat Misses M. French and P. Stewart. Mrs. Richardson and Miss Wither beat Misses A. Coggin and N. Karnes, Mrs. Petersen and Miss 1. Anderson beat Mrs. Stuan and Miss R. Stewart. Combined doubles: E. Sinclair and Miss M. Sinclair lost to G. Elliott axxd Mj/s M. French, D. Sinclair and *liss J. Anderson beat R. Hitcrxman and Miss P. Stewart, R. Petersen and Mrs. Richardson beat R. McNae and Miss N. Eames, J. RiohardsonD. Sinclair is home on leave after service overseas. The presentation of the challenge cup won by Max Arthur whoso club calf was placed as reserve champion at the Fellding A. and p. Show, took place at the school recently.
