Longest Cross-Channel Gun Duel of War
Received Thursday, 11.40 p.m. LONDON, Nov. 4. British and German longrange guns engaged in the heaviest cross-Channel duel of. the war last night. The British guns in the Dover area are believed to have been engaging an enemy convoy off the French coast and the Germans returned the fire from their guns on the Calais coast. The duel lasted about two hours.
