Armed Forces Appeal Board
A sitting of the Armed Forces Appeal Board was held in Palmerston North yesterday. Mr. T. L. Seddon presided and associated with him were Messrs A. Grigor and W. Sutherland. Adjourned sine die: O. E. Slight, theological student, appeal by New Zealand Missionary College; C. R. Murphy, shearing contractor, appeal by reservist; D. G. Cameron, company manager, appeal by Reid and Gray Agency Co., Ltd.; C. C. Williams, blacksmith and welder, appeal by Reid and Gray Agency Co., Ltd.; W. J. Callaghan, terrazzo worker, appeal by Terrazzo (N.Z.) Ltd.; G. Brogden, carpenter, appeal by H. E. Townsliend Ltd. against overseas service. Other decisions were: M. K. Blandford, domestic, appeal by Mrs. J. E. Tanner; dismissed. L. Iv. Jackson, carpenter, appeal by A. E. Allen; dismissed, not to be called up before January 31, 11)44. S. P. Eaton, butcher, appeal by Director on representations by S. F. Lincoln; adjourned to February, 1944. J. H. Check, truck driver appeal by Child Bros. Ltd.; adjourned to February, 1944.
