National War Savings
In connection with the figures given in our National War Saving’s barometer in another column, it should be noted that these figures represent the actual “over the counter” deposits at the Chief Post Office. On Monday’s returns from suburban and rural offices attached to the Palmerston North city area are added and sometimes have the effect of completely altering the position. Friday and Saturday were particularly good days, and the city’s quota is assured.
