Mesdames E. Hill (Bunnythorpe), Osborne and A. Pierard (Longburn) were welcomed as new members, and Mesdames L. J. Goulter, of Fairlie, E. R. McAulay, of Nelson, were welcomed as visitors at yesterday's meeting of the Palmerston North 'branch of the Women’s Division of the Farmers’ Union. Members of the Palmerston North branch of the Women's Division of the Farmers’ Union stood in silent sympathy with the treasurer, Mrs. E. B. Jennings, in the bereavement suffered by the. passing of her father, the late Mr. J. H. Gibbs, of Sandon, feeling reference being made by the president, Mrs. B. A. Bond.
