Germany Not Expected to Crack Before Autumn 1944
NEW YORK, Aug. 17. ' ‘ Germany will not crack before flic autumn of 1914 and it will take at least another year to defeat Japan/’ declared Captain Eddie Rickenbacker, who has returned from an inspection tour of the war zones. He added: “Only a miracle can bring victory sooner/ ’ Describing his impressions abroad, Captain Rickenbacker said that the experience level of German lighter pilots on the Russian front showed a decided decline in the last six months. Everywhere in Russia he found soldiers and officers passionately convinced of ulti- ■ mu to victory'. Captain Rickenbacker said that Bolshevism in Russia was not what communists in America had led us to believe. The truth was that Russia had been constantly turning to tho right during the past year.
