Women’s Institutes
HALCOMBE. Mrs. D. C. Managh presided at the June meeting. The duties of Sunshine Members were undertaken by Mrs. R. Managh and Miss M. Mason. Three new members, Mesdames J. Pask and S. Anderson and Miss J. Fergusson were enrolled. Gifts were, presented to Mrs. L, Duffln who has left the district and Mr. J. O’Sullivan, auditor. The "mystery” parcel went to Mrs. R. Williams. It was proposed to hold a euchre and dance early in July. As the demonstrator was unable to be present a competition was held which was won by Mrs J. L. Fergusson. The hostesses for July will be Mesdames Curtis, Donovan and Ragle and the competition "tomato sauce.” The monthly competition "Something new from something old” Mrs Davies 1, Mrs. A. Schaeren 2. Afternoon tea was served by the hostesses Mesdames R. Managh, It. Dudding and B. Bx-adley.
