Information reaching authoritative Yugoslav circles In Cairo affirms that General Mikhailovltch la safe with his men and carrying on the flght. This refutes Axis assertions that Mlkbailovitch, following the defeat of his force* In the mountains of Montenegro fled the country. Mimllos Trifunovic has succeeded la forming a new Yugoslav Cabinet. Tn* solution followed a week’s political crisis wherein there were intense deliberations between King Peter and tb* Yugoslav political leaders in London. Mr. Trifunovic is the deputy leader of the Serb radical party and on* of the most prominent Serb politicians. H* assumes tbe responsibility for the elfective introduction immediately after the war of a Federal democratic constitution under the monarchy on the basis of political, economic and social equality for the Serbs, Croats ana Slovenes. The new Cabinet includes Mikhailovltch as Minister of War. An Ankara message states that Mikhailovltch is still leading a grim battle In southern Yugoslavia at tha head of 50,000 to 60,000 Chetnik guerharassing vital South Yugoslavian railways, according to an authoritative Yugoslav source. The Chetnlks are still attacking after a six months’ campaign by the Eighth Division of the Axis Punitive Corps who are determinedly trying to wipe out resistance.

The guerrillas recently recaptured Klin In Dalmatia. Fighting during the past month has taken place over a wide area of Bosnia, Hersegovlna, Dalmatia, Montenegro and the Drlna sector of Bosnia. The Axis have failed to bnng Mikhailovltch to a standstill flght and he Is master of big strength In the mountain country flanking the main ¥ ugos.'iv railway connecting with Greece and the Belgrade-Nish-Salonlka line.
