Greeks Refuse to Admit Reality, Complains Nazi
ZURICH, June 25.
Rudolf Kircher, chief editor of the German newspaper Frankfurter Zeitung, following a tour of the Balkans, writes: “I learned the disappointing fact that the majority of Greeks live in the illusory hope of a British and American invasion. The Greeks refuse to acknowledge reality.”
Kircher continues; “The Turks are determined to remain neutral, but the North African events had a great propaganda effect in Turkey, where the press had tactlessly damaged Turkish and German relations. ”
The semi-official Turkish newspaper Akshara said to-day that Turkoy’s relations with Britain and America in no way warranted the expectations that Turkey would abandon neutrality.
