Pahiatua Gala Garden Party

The arrangements for the patriotic gala garden party on March 6 are well in hand. Each district has signified its intention of competing for the cups. The Manawatu Pipe Band will be in attendance, as well as outside Scotch and Irish dancers. The Home Guard authorities are keenly concentrating on their displays. The horse sports committee report good progress, and it is expected that good entries will be obtained for each event. The athletes are in steady training for the big day. The schools are very keen about the school programmes and teachers report they expect to have large entries. Don’t forget you can picnic, as well as obtain luncheon and afternoon tea on the grounds.
