The AVanganui Education Board met at Wanganui yesterday. Staff changes were notified as follows: Teachers leaving Board's service:—'Mr. J. G. Ilogan, temp, sole teacher, Kaukatea; Miss B. H. Coulter, assistant mistress, Parewanui; Miss M. L. Cherrie, assistant mistress, Piriaka; Miss M. Gould, temp, sole teacher, Kaukatea; Mr. A. E. Mills, headmaster, Oroua Downs. War appointment;—Miss M. M. Call’d, sole teacher, Glyneatli. The Department notified the supply of bucket pumps to be distributed to schools where the need is most urgent. The Board decided to supply one each to Hangiwahia, Oroua Downs and Apiti. College Street: The committee’s request that Standard I pupils remain at the school instead of attending at Hokowhitu and West End, was agreed to. Intermediate: The committee asked for assistance towards the purchase of a motor-mower—£ for £ subsidy granted.
