Week-end Bowls
TOURNAMENT YESTERDAY The week-end weather was ideal for bowling and a good attendance of members played some interesting games on both Saturday and Sunday. Club championships were advanced a stage when the following games were decided:—Champion Pairs: G. Hodd and C. S. Carrad defeated S. Macrae and J. Swanney 24—11. Junior Singles: Strange beat R. Kemp 20—10. Handicap Pairs: J. Hutton and W. Bowden defeated F. Peters and C. Petersen 24—17. A tournament was played yesterday when C. Wright with five wins was the successful skip, and in the Leads competition, F. Peters and Lucas tied for first placo with four wins each.
