Levin Stock Sale
MARKET FULLY FIRM. A large yarding of store stock was a marked feature of yesterday’s stock sale- held at Levin anti keen competition was in evidence throughout. Top line store lambs maintained their good prices, b.f. lambs making up to 19s. A quality yarding "of fat cattle came forward and sold well at market rates. Fat sheep sold at rates fully firm on late realisations, while pork was at a par with recent sales. The following is a list of the realisations:— Pigs:—Light porkers, £2, £2 5s to £2 12s 6d; medium do., £2 15s, £2 17s fid to £2 18s; heavier do., £3, £3 os to £3 7s 6d; baconers, £3 10s, £3 15s to £4 'ss; weaners, 15s, 17s fid to 22s 6d. Sheep:—Fat ewes, 10s 6d, 11s, 12s 4d to 13s Id; fat wethers, 21s 6d, 22s 4d, 23s Id to 245; fat lambs, 18s, 20s lOd, 21s 7d, 23s to 24s 6d; woolly b.f. lambs, 13s, 15s 3d, 17s 6d to 19s; shorn b.f. lambs, 12s 6d to 14s; woolly w.f. lambs, 13s, 14s 6d, 15s lOd to 16s fid; shorn w.f.' lambs, 10s, 11s, 12s 7d, 14s Sd, 15s to 16s 3d.
