Anzac Day in Feilding
THE USUAL ARRANGEMENTS The Feilding citizens’ Anzac Day e service will be held as usual at the a Soldiers’ Memorial in Manchester y Square at 10 a.m. on Saturday next. * The Home Guard, all sections of the b E.P;S., and High School pupils are Y again invited to attend but on this occasion members of the E.P.S. will 1 assemble in their different units at the memorial. The Home Guard will parade and there is a possibility also of representatives being present from the local Territorial camps. Returned soldiers are also invited to parade in their various units. The service will > proceed in the usual order, the address f this year being given by Major C. r Necve. After the singing of the Na- ■ tional Anthem, the official wreath from a citizens will be placed by the Mayor. Wreaths from organisations and private wreaths should then be placed. Then will follow the “Last Post” and the - service will conclude with the Benediction at 10.30 a.m. Returned soldiers will fall in at the Bank of New Zealand corner immediately following the conclusion of the citiezns’ service, for the march to St. John’s Church for the usual service, followed by the luncheon at the Parish Hall, where members of the R.-S.A. will be the guests of the Anzac Ladies’ Committee. The day will conclude with the Anzac Day concert arranged by the local branch of the R.S.A. and for which a splendid programme is being presented. Reserves, s which incidentally are rapidly filling, may be arranged at Allen’s Keen Kut Store.
