Air Casualties
WELLINGTON, April 22. Air Headquarters, Wellington, announce that the following three members of the R.N.Z.A.F. previously reported missing aro now reported prisoners of war:— ORB, Albert G., Srgt., Auckland. HARRIS, William H., Srgt., Kokatahi. ROBERTSON, Struaa M., Pilot Officer, Tinwald. yesterday. The damage inflicted was not great. Dive-bomber attacks were made by the enemy on Forts Hughes and Drum, but most of tho bombs dropped harmlessly in the water, and no damage or casualties have been reported at either fort. “On the island of Panay,” the communique adds, “heavy Japaneso attacks forced our troops to withdraw from two positions in Antique. Our outnumbered forces are continuing their resistance and exacting a heavy toll of the enemy in casualties.” The Vichy radio reported that 3000 United States troops are encircled in the mountains of Panay Island in the
