Mrs. M. Bright, of Stratford, is staying with her parents, Mr. and Mrs. R. H. Billens, College Street. Mrs. E. V. Duffy, of Feilding, is visiting her two daughters in Auckland, Miss Giesen, also Mrs. Roy Penlington, wife of Lieutenant-Colonel Penlington. On leave from, the China Inland Mission, and at present visiting Palmerston North, is Mrs. L. C. Woou, who is a daughter of Pastor R. W. Fursdon, formerly of the Palmerston North Baptist Church, and now of Chnst'church. I She is at present unable to return to JNingsia because of the Japanese occupation of Hongicong and parts of China, 'but she hopes that it will not be long before she can return to the mission field, where her husband is still working.
