Thrills Aplenty at Repertory Play
Excellent entertainment was provided ,■ by Repertory players at the Opera House on Monday evening when a rehearsed reading of a three-act thriller was presented to a large and appreciative audience. The play was capably directed by Mr. W. M. Webster in most effective settings and the manner in which the interest was sustained was a tribute to the cast headed by Miss Mavis Mortland, Messrs M* H. Oram and G. Drivor, together with Mesdames Wilson and E. Lovell/Major J. T. Bosworth, Messrs C. Cronin, A. Gibson, B. Davidson, M. Sexton and W. M. Webster. After the final curtain, the president, Mr. M. H. Oram, made reference to the fact that the society had lost its home but it was hoped that very satisfactory arrangements would be finalised in the near future. A suitable room for rehearsal had been found in Main Street, and assistance was solicited in making it habitable. Supper served on the stage concluded the evening.
