The Lord’s Prayer w School. In addition to supporting the existing system for Scripture reading at the Russell Street School, householders at Monday night’s meeting passed a motion that the incoming committee arrange that the Lord’s Prayer be said daily in the school. College Street SchooL
“We do not know yet the arrangements between the College Street School and the Intermediate School,” said the chairman (Mr. H. G. Mills), to the meeting of the householders of College Street School on Monday evening. “The new committee will meet a sub-committee from the Wanganui Education Board, when matters will be completed as to flow the two committees can carry on,” Mr. Mills added. At present the College Street School is being used to a considerable extent by the Intermediate School. Later, Mr. W. H. Brown (a city representative on the Wanganui Education Board) addressed the meeting, stating that the present arrangement in regard to the achool was the best the board could make. Mr. Mills paid a tribute to the two board members—Mesers. W. G. Black and Brown—for their rained services to the city schools.
