Eleven of the trained nurses of tho Palmerston North Hospital are oversea; with hospital units. Mrs. L. C. Wood, of the China Inlan 1 Mission, who is visiting Palmerston North on furlough, is the guost of Mis. A. Teulon, of North Street. Mrs. Chadwick, of Auckland, has returned home after & holiday spent in Feilding as the guest of Miss V. L McKenzie. Miss J. Breen, of the Feilding Agricultural High School, has left to take up I her new position in Hamilton, carrying with her the best wishes of a large circle of friends. Sister C. Syme, who is sister-in-charge at the Intermediate School emergency hospital, has been asked to act as a member of the Board of Examiners for the State final examinations for pupil nurses and yesterday the Palmerston North Hospital Hoard agreed to the appointment. Tho resignation of Mrs. E. A. Collins, as president of Willard Home Board, in view of her indisposition, was regretfully considered r.t yesterday's meeting of the Board and it wag unanimously agreed to aifk her to accept leave of absence as she would have completed 14 years in office in July next, when it was hoped she would be well enough to reconsider the decision to resign.
