Tanker Sunk Off New Jersey Coast
Received Monday, 10 p.m. WASHINGTON, Jan. 26. An enemy submarine sank the 8500fcon Norwegan tanker Varanger off New Jersey. The entire crew of 40 were rescued. BRITISH SHIP TORPEDOED Received Monday, 10 p.m. LISBON, Jan. 25. A British ship, torpedoed by a U-boat, arrived at Horta. Twenty of the crew were killed or seriously wounded.
