No Cancellation of Private Petrol Allowances

Per Press Association. AUCKLAND, Dec. 5. There is no truth in the rumours circulating to-day that all petrol allowances, special licenses and coupons for petrol for private use arc to be cancelled for a period. Issuing a denial to-day, the Minister of Supply, the Hon. D. G. Sullivan, said that the present system would continue, and rumours that cancellation of licences, or a drastic reduction were proposed, should be entirely disregarded. ‘‘Of course,” the Minister said, “if the situation in the Pacific deteriorates, the whole position as regards petrol consumption will nocessarily have to bo reviewed. ”
