Hopelands Dance

The dance held in the Hopelands School on Wednesday evening was exceptionally well attended, and tho school piano fund benefited by a considerable sum as a result. The chairman of the school committee, Mr. A. East, thanked all for their attendance, mentioning in particular those who had generously given donations to the fund. He also extended a very hearty welcome to Wireless Operator J. A. Cheyne, a wellknown district airman recontly returned from Suva.

A competition run by Mr. W. Smyth added appreciably to the fund. Mr. L. Hills was M.C., while Mr. Len Spelman supplied the music. Extras were played by Alias Al. Oranfield, Aliss R. Poulton and Air. J. Fountaine.
