(From Our Own Correspondent.)

There was a small attendance at tho annual meeting of the Colyton Tennis Club. Mr. J. Humphrey was elected to take the chair. The balance sheet disclosed a satisfactory financial position. Tho election of officers resulted as follows:—President, Mr. W. Hockeu; secretary, Miss June Mitchell; vicepresidents, Mesdames Hocken, N. O. Hansen; N. W. Pearce, J. Williamson and Miss L. Pearce, Messrs. G. L. Jensen, J. Crook, W. Russell, W. Scott and C. Wilson; committee, Messrs. C. Wilson, C. Burr, L. Thurston,J. Humphrey, Miss O. Whittacker; auditor, Mr. W. J. Smith; captain, Miss Ngaire Williamson; vice-captain, Mr. J. Humphrey. Tuesday and Thursday nights were agreed upon for practice. A working bee has prepared the courts for play and made improvements, with the result that members expect their opening day to attract many players. Appreciation was expressed of the service rendered the club by Air. W. J. Smith in the capacity of auditor. Mr. and Airs. M. A. MacLeod, 11 Dunvegan,” have returned home following an extended holiday spent with relatives in the South Island. Alias C. Palmer has returned from her holiday of a fortnight with friends at Te Kuiti.

Airs. Gordon Ale Vicar, Reids Line, accompanied by AXaater Don AXcVicar, has returned to her home after being the guests of her niece, Airs. Charles Forbes, Dannevirke.

Miss Myra Smith, Wellington, visited her home recently.
