! Mrs. Robert Mcßcth, of Highfield Road, Feilding, has returned home after a holiday spent at Plimmterton with her daughters, Mrs. W. Beedie, of Dannevirke, and Mrs. V. Short, and grand-daughter, Miss Jean Beedie.
In the national dancing competitions at the Wanganui Show, the following Palmerston North entrants were successful: Zona Broughton, second in the Highland fling (eight years and under), second equal in sword dance (10 years and under 12), third in seantribubhas (nine years and under 10). Betty Thompson, third in Highland fling (12 and under 14), first in sword dance (12 and under 14), third in hornpipe (eight years and under), second in seantriubhas (12 and under 14). Yvonne Nicholson, second in Highland fling, first in Irish jig, second in seantriubhas, first in Highland reel (all 14 years and under 16), and first in reel o’ Tulloch. Miss June Scott, of Palmerston North, acted as judge.
