(Vlannerheim Reported Bowing Before Storm Allied Air Reinforcements Already in Russia Uuited Press Assn.—By Electric Telegraph.—Copyright. Received Tuesday, 7.20 p.m. LONDON, Sept. 1. The Daily Express’ foreign editor says Marshal Mannerheim has bowed before the storm against the German alliance and is now willing to order the cessation of lighting immediately the Finns reach their old frontiers. The whole Finnish Government thus supports the people’s demand for peace. The Moscow correspondent of the Daily Express says considerable Allied air reinforcements have already reached Russia. Other sources say there are strong indications that British and Russian air raids on Berlin are about to occur on a large scale. The quality and types of planes to be used are still military secrets. The Moscow radio told Germany that the German casualties thus far have been 2,500.000 of whom a million are dead. It added: “Hitler must lose the war. Between August 3 and August 22 the Germans lost 12 armoured and 37 infantry divisions, eight motorised divisions, 17 infantry regiments and •everal storm troop divisions. According to the Moscow radio Bulgarian peasants by a decree must relinquish their entire harvest to the authorities before October 3 under penalty of confiscation.
