INTERESTING COMPARISONS The rainfall for the month of August totalled 5.27 inches, according to recordings taken by 31r. J. C. Bolton, Gorge Road. Rain fell on 18 days, the maximum fall being 1.35 inches on Saturday, the 16th. The total rainfall for the same month in 1940 w r as 2.30 inches, while in 1939 8.11 inches were recorded.
