Bishop of Auckland’s Visit

SERVICES WELL ATTENDED On Sunday last tse parish of Woodville, at the invitation of the vicar (Kev. B. P. Williams), received an episcopal visit from the Bishop of Auckland, Rt. Rev. John Simkin. There were four services in the parish and all were very well attended. The Bishop celebrated Holy Communion at the 8 a.m. service and preached at the Choral Communion at II a-m., the vicar being celebrant. There was a service at ixumeroa at 2.30 p.in., and in the evening before a packed congregation, his Lordship administered the rite of confirmation to 19 candidates. The beautiful and impressive service and the Bishop's address to the candidates should be a lasting memory to candidates and congregation alike. Immediately after the service the Bishop and Mrs. Bimkin left for Palmerston North to catch the Limited express for Auckland.
