Milk Collection by Lorry

AVOIDING VEXATIOUS DELAYS This matter was discussed by the suppliers present at tl)0 RcxduJc Dairy ! Company’s annual meeting, it being I pointed "out that to ensure rapid de i livery of milk the collection lorries •should receive some preference at the milk stage. It was agreed that this was | reasonable and that every effort should 4 be made to have the lorries unloaded in the shortest possible time. Kelerrin;; i to the matter, the factory manager, Mi L. R. Wards, stated that he had worke* • out a system which it vras hoped woul*not delay those suppliers who deliverc nnlk by their own lorries. It was pos sible, he thought, thae only one stag*would be used b* the milk collecting trucks, which would mean that the sec ond stage would be available all the time for the individual supplier. Mr. Wards asked that the matter be left in liis hands to arrange, uud this v. .is approved.
