AUCTIONEER’S NOTE: Mr. Zurcher’s herd—all bred on the property—was founded 38 years ago, and is recognised as one of the outstanding herds in the Manawatu district, and by the .-judicious selection of sires from the ieading Studs of Waipiko, Erin View, Holly Oak, Kuku, Mr. J. S. Jones, Bell Block, Messrs. R. Parkin, T. Ranford, M. Hudson, the herd has been kept to a high producing standard. Although testing has not been carried on for a few years, the last official returns for 35 cows showed an average of 4101bs. fat in 271 days, with a 5.4 test, and was the highest producing herd in No. 1 Group, Manawatu Herd Testing Association. The herd is in wonderful order and condition, of beautiful type and quality, and we can recommend buyers in search of high producing stock to attend this important fixture.
