Hull Back on Duty
WASHINGTON, Aug. 4. The Secretary of State, Mr. Cordell Hull, fully recovered from his recent illness, returned to the State Department to-day. At a press conference, Mr. Hull denounced recent foreign developments as demonstrating beyond doubt that the Axis plan of world conquest was a movement which could and would be resisted. “With unity of purpose and the maximum effort,” he said, “the remaining free peoples will win and the victims of the forces of barbarism will be liberated.”
