Control of Rugby

MANAWATU UNION MEETS The management committee of the Manawatu Rugby Union met last night, Mr. A. M. Ongley presiding. In connection with a letter from the Feilding and Feilding Old Boys’ Club j concerning the playing by Ivia Toa ; seniors of P. Barton, who the writers believe to be a League plaj'er, advice was received from the Ivia Toa Club that it had no knowledge of Barton’s status, but that inquiries were being made. Ivia Toa also drew attention to the fact that, if Feilding and Feilding Old Boys knew Barton was a League player, they should nave refused to take the field against him.
