GROUCHO, CHICO AND HARPO “GO WEST” (Regent: Coming on Friday week.) Presenting the Marx Brothers— Groucho, Chico and Harpo—in their first “period picture,” “Go West,” a wild and wooLy comedy laid in the 1870 outdoors, comes to the Regent Theatre on Friday week. The Marxes say this is their epi Western to end all Westerns. It is th< arst time anyone has ever poked fun a ;he big bad men, hard-boiled sirens lovely neroines and brave heroes of thi Early West. The Marxes do so b; making the picture a howl from star to finish. To help things along, the; don pioneer-day costumes, revamped t> suit their own ideas. They are aided iu their fun and ex citement by au excellent cast which in eludes John Carroll, Diana Lewis Walter Woolf King and Robert Barrat These were put through laugh paces b; Director Edward Buzzell, aud the pic ture was produced by Jack Cummings The film is full of music, with a pian. solo by Chico, harp number by Ilarpc songs by Carroll and Miss • Lewis comedy yodelling by Gaucho, and ; fast dance by a group of chorines. The story is all about the thre Marxes’ adventures when they go Wes to look for gold in Colorado and fiu< that a group of villains arc conspirinj to rob the hero and heroine of a dec* to some land the railroad wants. The; leap into the plot, and the fun neve stops until the whole cast winds u] racing madly over a fast-moving Earl; American train.
