Freebairu 121. “On boarding the boa't the first thing I came face to face with was a case of Pakeha butter,” wrote Mr. Sherlock Sauer to his parents, Mr. and Mrs. G. Sauer, of King Street, Feilding, when describing the evacuation of Crete. Mr. Sauer assured his readers that he lost no time in boosting the superiority of the product as compared with the margarine substitute they had been accustomed to.
