Cheltenham

Leading Aircraftman Richard Corkill was the guest of tho residents of Cheltenham at an evening tendered by the local Patriotic Committee. Mr. C. Anderson conveyed to the guest of the evening best wishes. Mr. A. B. Shannon then made the customary presentation of a wristlet watch. Leading Aircraftman Corkill’s parents, Mr. and Mrs. J. C. Corkill, are old residents of the district and Dick is an old pupil of the Cheltenham school. The evening took the form of a dance. Mr. Harold Moss, another local boy, has entered/camp at Levin to train for the Air Force. J At a recent meeting of the School Committee arrangements were put in hand for the school fancy dress ball which is to be held on July 1L
