Warplanes to be Ferried Across South Atlantic

Received Tuesday, 11.5 p.m. NEW YORK, June 17. The New York Times says a White House conference between President Roosevelt, Mr. H. L. Stimson (War Secretary), Admiral Stark, Mr. Harry I-iopkins (recently returned from Britain) and General -Arnold (Air Chief) discussed the question of flying warplanes from the United States to Brazil, across the South Atlantic to GamDia or Freetown (Sierra Leone) and then to Egypt. Hitherto planes have been shipped to Gambia.
