Nazi Lasses in Crete Were “Tragic”
ZURICH, June 16. The German newspaper Neuteste Nachrichten, in summing up the Crete campaign, said: “There is no need for us to conceal our heavy sacrifices. Our victory was chiefly due to hand-to-hand fighting. Our losses were tragic, but they will bring nearer final victory. ’ *
