“Times” Office Entered Some time over the week-end a person or persons gained entrance to the rear portion of the Woodville branch of the “ Times” office, entrance being effected per the simple medium of break-1 ing a window. The contents of the office wer c only slightly interfered with, although a few oddments were scattered about and a disused gas meter was broken. Flood Damage Reviewing the recent flood damage at last week’s meeting of the Dannevirke County Council, the overseer (Mr. R. H. Kirkwood), estimated losses in the county to be £5305. • Mr. A. H. Hansen was re-elected chairman of the council. Messrs. R. F. Gregg and G. A. Carmichael were elected the council’s representatives on the Dannevirke Power Poard and the Dannevirke Hospital Board respectively, in place of the late Mr. G. J. J. Buchanan.
