Manawatu Sub-area Home Guard
At a recent meeting of the Manawatu County-1 oxton Home Guard Committee, the following appointments and promotions were approved on the recommendation of the ’jub-area Commander, Mr. H. V. Bond:—Battalion Commander, Mr. It. W. Wrightson (Tangirnoana); Company Commander, 2nd iu command, Mr. R. F. Scott (Sandon); Company Commanders, Messrs. H. C. McMillan (Glen Oroua), R. M. White (Rangiotu), J. Q. Cameron (Oroua Downs), W. H. H. Foster (Rongotea), rs. H. Tunnicliff (Foxton), W. Rodmayne (Awahuri); Unit Commander. Mr. D. Brooks (Foxton); Officer in charge stretcher bearers, Mr. E. N. Rowe (Sanson) j Signal Officer, Mr. J. C. Warren (Carnarvon). The following have been appointed Platoon Commanders; Messrs; B. S. Lawrence, N. L. Remnant, F. S. Collier' A. Kilpatrick, H. Redpath (Sanson), C. E. N. Scott (Tangimoaua), T. R. Saunders (Glen Oroua), W. Manson , (Awahuri), M. Say well, H. L. King, A. A. N. Alsop (Rangiotu), J. Edmond, A. Thomson, J. R, Veale (Oroua Downs), T. M. B. Rowe, L. A. Lancaster, G. H. Hill, D. B. Rowe (Rongotea), C. G. Beattie, W. J. Tutty (Taikorea), H. W. Webber, N. R. Sell, D. D. McKenzi* (Foxton) and L. K. Andrews( Manavvatu Heads).
